Our story

Grove Barn is a converted 19th-century brick barn on a quiet lane in Denton, on the Norfolk–Suffolk border. We took it on in 2018, spent two years working with local craftspeople to bring it back to life, and opened as a bed and breakfast in the spring of 2021.

It is a small place, run by us — a working family with a strong preference for slow breakfasts, quiet lanes and the sound of barn owls. Everything you experience here is considered, from the linen on the beds to the eggs on your plate.

“We wanted somewhere that felt like a home you had come to stay in for the weekend, not a hotel you had booked into.”
